§Juan Alfonso de Baena

Poet and writer Spanish born possibly in Baena (Córdoba) in 1365 and died probably in Cordoba for 1435. The vast majority of his poems demonstrate its ability to search for the fight lyrical with other poets, face questions and answers to various courtiers with which Juan Alfonso due to coincide with the court of Juan II. Also spiced his poems with the beloved tradition poetic cancioneril of requests for money, belongings or favors in various noble of the time, including the powerful condestable Alvaro de Luna, or even the king John II. Works: The Cancionero de Baena which offers a mixture of disparate numerous forms poetic castellanas, italian, galaico provencal etc.

§The Marquis de Santillana

Don Íñigo Lopez de Mendoza, Marquis de Santillana, born in Carríon de los Condes, Palencia, in 1388. Was the son of don Diego Hurtado of Mendoza and of dona Leonor de la Vega, lady intelligent and rich. He can be considered as the first poet of the 15th century. Great vate, very known mainly for its charming serranillas, dezires and songs, or by poetry of art minor. It is here where best can be seen its great inspiration poetic, simplicity and charm inimitable of this poet castellano. Works: The Comedieta ponza, Bías against fortuna, their Proverbs and numerous sonnets in italian style.

§Jorge Manrique

Poet spanish author of the famous Couplets to the death of his father, maximum creation of the lyrical courtesan of the 15th century and one of the best elegías of Spanish literature of great universal value. The poetry of Jorge Manrique is situated within the current cancioneril 15th century. Its production poetic minor, gathered in a Cancionero, is formed by means 100 compositions short, for the most part of amorous themes, which followed the fees -and courtiers at the end of the Middle Ages. Most original are their parts ludicrous, as the "Couplets to a beoda" or "Feast to his stepmother".
